Min/Max Your Life
In my life, I try to minimize that which I don't much care for and maximize everything I do enjoy.
In this particular situation, I am maximizing my enjoyment of all things mechanic and using every option available to me. Previously, I have commented on the thin cups in the machines and how I would have to pour the hot liquid into the thicker, insulated foam cups from the cafeteria. We have gotten a new machine with a lot more features and of course, I took advantage of it right away... resulting in a reduction of waste! yay, Me.
I was talking with someone next to the new coffee/hot chocolate machine. He saw me place a cafeteria cup in the cup are of the machine and start adding money.
"Don't you like the cups they give you?"
~ Oh no, Much too thin!
"Won't the other cup just come right down and cause a mess?"
~ Nope! This sign, when the machine isn't busy, says "Use your Own Mug!"
"Really? Wow..."
~ Here its done, take a look at this <Points to LED words scrolling across the machine>
"Wow, I guess some people actually read the signs..."
Yeah, pretty amazing. I then told him that in some circles I would be a Min/Max-er. He laughed and agreed, but I think he didn't know what I was talking about when I said Min/Max.
Take every advantage, take the time to learn all the features of the items you use and then use that which you find most desirable.
Min/Max your life, you deserve it ;-)
