7 Random Facts = Me

Well, yes, I am Random and I can even be randomly normal.

Here are the rules:
Each person [snip] gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those [snip] need to write in their blogs 7 facts, as well as the rules of the game. You need to [snip] others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on [snipping] a note in their comments so they know that they have been [snip] and to read your blog.  {Re: snip.  There are just some words I don't like.  Conform if you dare.}

Here are the seven random facts:

7.  I start out one place while talking or thinking and I end up detouring long before I get to the point and sometimes totally forget why I started.

4.  I am not of the religion you think I am.

6.  Given a choice between driving a car and riding a horse I will pick a horse every time.

1.  I can't figure out what fact to add here.  There are too many secrets that you have to know me to find out.

3.  I laugh at the absurd, what people don't find funny, british humor, bad jokes, funny jokes, clowns, comedians and at nothing in particular because you seriously have to be in my own mind to get the joke.  Sorry O:-)  Except when all the above just annoys the hell out of me -- at which time it may be the wisest to just leave me alone.

2.  I want to add something really personal right here, but I am not THAT daring.  In fact, I am quite a chicken.

5.  I don't understand how to conform. Those who don't even know I don't conform and I meet them with what I feel is common talk or greetings or what I would swear was normalcy, they know I am different anyway.  So I pretty much gave up, you who know me are the bestest :-D  Even if I do occasionally get that look from you too ;-)

=============

Yeah, see.  Can't be totally normal, that would just bore me.

=============

Therefore, I won't [snip] anyone.  But if you like pirates, knitting, sewing or reading, you are having the suggestion put forth to you. O:-)

7 Random What?

Well, No.  I am more than Seven Random.  Have you actually LOOKed at my 'BLoG?

6. I like cheese... usually these days Organic White Cheddar

13. The king is in the Queen's garden.  Well, ok... it is a chess king sitting in the Queen's Garden at Bristol Ren Faire... haven't you seen it?  People are always playing chess.

1,786,200,6.9  I don't like rules.

1337.  I don't like Labels,... especially the really sticky kind.  But I like to label items even if it is wrongly labeled... until it annoys me.

1138.  I love Indigo.  Try to figure out what I mean... Kupo.

Lazer Tag, you are all IT and it and Chocky is too.

Knitting WIPs and FO

What? You think I can't blog my knitting with the rest of them? Well, generally you are correct. I can't keep focused on any one subject or topic long enough to do anything of the sort, so as a treat, here are a couple WIPs! Maybe an FO as well.

WIPs

Knitterary Scarf

Knitterary Scarf

Description: A cabled-knot scarf with ribbing in the middle.

Pattern: Adjusted from a Knit-a-day Calendar scarf by Knitterary. She added couple more cable and created a more intricate knot pattern. Two Charts with a ribbing between. (A, B, RIB, B, A) Seedstitch Border.

Yarn: Cascade Bollicine Dolly
            Color: #92 Turquoise
            Fiber: 100% Extra-fine Merino
            Yardage: 10 X 50gr / 153 yds
            Gauge: 5.5 sts=1" / #6
            Wash: Hand or machine wash gentle cold, lie flat to dry.

# of balls: 2 (from Dreamsweaver at Winter Exchange)

Needles: Size US#6 Addi-turbo circulars

Start/End Date: Uh, some time after New Year's 2007 and before May 11, 2007... Still in progress.

Discuss:
This is my Knitterary Scarf... she probably has a name for it, but I don't know it at the time. As you can see, it is a rather intricate set of cables... and the fancy part hasn't started yet! Oh, Knitterary, I await Chart B eagerly! At the time of this photo I had a mere FOUR crossover rows to complete before Chart B is called for... I am farther along by now :-)

Scarf Box Lid/Bottom

Victorian Scarf Box

Description: Filet crochet pattern to be assembled, stiffened and embellished.

Pattern: Victorian Christmas Crochet (Plaid #7685) "Ribbons and Lace"

Yarn: unknown Cotton Crochet Thread

Color: Ivory

# of balls: One... so far

Needles: Boye Size #7 Steel Crochet hook

Discuss: I have been working on this a LONG time and this is all I have to show... well, to be honest, I only work it in short bursts and then put it aside for a few weeks or months depending. It is a great project and I honestly can't wait to finish it ... it is just inconvenient to do much at a time. Oh well. I am thinking I should've started to work it in Purple or Green... or even Black. But now I am stuck with the Ivory. Still looks nice. Knitty-Kitty likes it.

FO

Diagonal Scarf

Lorna's Laces
SWIRL CHUNKY // 83% Merino, 17% Silk // 3 stitches per inch

These photos are of my new scarf. I did the pattern myself based on a staggered rib, it turns out to fall very nicely. The important part is that this was made with two whole skeins of Lorna's Laces Silk and Merino knit on size 11 Rosewood Needles. All from my loving Tinley Park SNB when I left for New York.
